Dettifoss
Dettifoss, in the northern part of Iceland, is the most powerful waterfall in Europe. In this shot the people on the other side give an example of the scale. Of course, like in the rest of Iceland, there were no guard rails. This does improve the natural beauty of the countries, but can make one nervous at times. Since I'm not one for leaning too far out of deathly edges, I found a much safer spot to get this image. By the time we saw this waterfall, however, we had seen so many that our senses were a bit dulled. Later on, I also took images of it from the air.
